Tie-Down Roper Macon Murphy has Cinched his First NFR Qualification at No.14 in the Standings

Tie-down roper Macon Murphy will make his National Finals Rodeo debut this year as he sits at No.14 in the PRCA World Standings.

Although this is his first NFR, Murphy holds the 2021 College National Finals Rodeo Championship Title while competing for Panola Community College.

Murphy has won a total of $105,793 throughout the regular season and is looking to add to those earnings this December.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

NFR Open, $19,448

Murphy placed in both the Semifinal and Final Round of the NFR open in Colorado Springs to ultimately place first in the Average and earn a total of $19,448.

Caldwell Night Rodeo, $10,630

Murphy placed in all three rounds of the Caldwell Night Rodeo to secure the No.1 position in the Average to earn $10,630 after roping three calves in an aggregate time of 24.8 seconds.

FASTEST RUNS

Snake River Stampede, 7.1 seconds

Murphy turned in one of his fastest times of the regular season at the Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho with a 7.1-second run in Round 2.

NOTABLE WINS

Yellowstone River Round-Up, $2,590

Murphy took the Championship Title in Billings, Montana for the second consecutive year with a run of 8.7- seconds to earn $2,590.
