Tie-Down Roper Haven Meged Cinches First Canadian Title After Entering No. 1

Montana cowboy Haven Meged took home his first Canadian Championship after six consistent runs in Red Deer, Alberta.

The five-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier and World Champion entered into the CFR with $37,358 in regular season earnings and walked away with a total of $82,482 after cinching over $31,000 in Go-Round money alone.

“This is something I’ve been wanting to do since 2019 and it’s awesome to be able to come back and accomplish it,” Meged said.

Meged secured the No. 1 spot in Rounds 3 and 6 to finish out the Finals with 53.8 seconds on six head to walk away not only the Canadian Champion, but also the CFR Average Champion in his first appearance.
