Caleb Smidt is two-for-two at the 2022 National Finals Rodeo as he got the Round Two win with a time of 7.2 seconds. Adding to that, Smidt has ran a total of 72 calves on his outstanding horse Pockets at the NFR.
Gearing up for this NFR was different for Smidt this year, there was less practice than most for the Texas calf roper.
“He was awesome, and it felt good, so I just called it good,” Smidt said on his limited practices before coming to Las Vegas.
It is paying off for Smidt, he is now No. 2 in the World while leading the aggregate in Las Vegas.
