The Roughstock Bubbles are Filled with Cowboys Ready to Pop into the Top 15 in the World

The Top 15 is where cowboys want to be but the bubble moves all the time.

A few of the names that sit just outside the Top 15 in the roughstock events are some of the best in the game. With 100 Rodeos in 100 Days right around the corner, the Top 15 is set to shift as cowboys start cashing in big money on the Summer Run.

Four-time National Finals Rodeo bareback rider Cole Reiner sits in the No. 16 spot by just $200 behind young gun Nick Pelke. Lousiana’s Kade Sonnier qualified for his first NFR in 2023 after an unbelievable regular season picking up wins in Cheyenne and Calgary. He is the No. 19 ranked bareback rider and currently sidelined with an injury.

In the saddle bronc riding, Canadian standout Dawson Hay is sitting 17th in the World. A successful weekend in Miles City has given him some momentum at the perfect time. Another Canadian we regularly see success from is Kolby Wanchuk. He has a slow winter but is picking up steam just in time for 100 Rodeos in 100 Days.

Two rookie bull riders are riding the bubble. Cooper James and Jeter Lawrence sit inside the Top 20 but NFR qualifiers like Trey Holston are hot on their heels. Holston is another that is slowly making his way up the standings with only $10,000 between No. 11 and No. 20 ranked bull riders.

With less than one month until Reno Rodeo and the kick off of 100 Rodeos in 100 Days, the cowboys on the bubble are about to be fighting for their spot in the Top 15 in the World.
