The NCHA Foundation Strives to Support the Youth of Today Outside of the Arena

Through Scholarships and Other Educational Opportunities, the Sky is the Limit for NCHA Athletes

Founded in 1982, the National Cutting Horse Association Foundation was created to help its athletes pursue a career beyond the arena. After over 40 years of operation, the foundation has changed the lives for many of its talents.

The NCHA Foundation is excited to introduce their new sponsor of 2024, Starr Whitley with Whitley Ranch out of Brenham, Texas.

“They have committed to the next 10 years for an added $10,000 scholarship fund every year to the senior division. It is a really great opportunity for these kids to earn money for school and to extend their education,” said Julia Buswold.

The foundation held a scholarship cutting during Youth Week at the Summer Spectacular event in Fort Worth, Texas. This competition handed out over $40,000 in scholarships to the youth talents.

The NCHA Foundation prides itself on providing its members with an opportunity for a life outside of the arena. Some scholarships can be awarded to adult and senior members as well. Their mission is to give back to their talents so they can go on and be successful individuals without their hats on.
