The 2022 Western Heritage Classic Champions are Crowned

The Western Heritage Classic is an event that should be on everyone’s bucket list if you ask Ty McClary. The legendary ranch rodeo started in 1985 and it is still going strong today in Abilene, Texas.

When all was said and done, Haythorn Land & Cattle Company came out top once again while Tongue River Ranch was second, Tule Ranch was third and Green Land & Cattle Company was fourth.

Haythorn Land & Cattle Co. is out of Nebraska and owned by Craig Haythorn. It is a generational family ranch that is no stranger to being champions at the ranch rodeo.

As far as Top Hands of the Western Heritage Classic, Levi Jones of Pitchfork Ranch won that title. Stuart Ranch’s Robert Frost had the Top Horse and the Top Remuda went to Tule Ranch.

The 88th Annual Western Heritage Classic is set to take place May 11th – 14th, 2023 in Abilene, Texas.
