Ty Harris was a long way from home when he stopped the clock at 9.0 seconds to win the Ponoka Stampede.
“That was a great calf and, man, I’m just thankful for everybody that puts on this rodeo, the crowd, everything… I love it north of the border so thanks to everybody,” Harris said.
Riding his palomino mare, Sally, Harris won Round 2, finished fourth in the Finals and won the Showdown Round by just one tenth of a second to beat out Haven Meged and Beau Cooper.
