Ty Harris is one of Texas’ fastest tie-down ropers. This will be his fourth trip to the National Finals Rodeo and he comes in for the second year in row just outside of the Top 10. Harris has his work cut out for him but nothing is impossible at the Thomas and Mack.

RodeoHouston, $10,250
Harris started out Houston with a bang as he won the first round of Super Series V with a 9.1 second run. He would place in the second round to secure his spot in the Semifinals where he finished fourth to make it back to the Super Shootout.
Calgary Stampede, $23,000
In the Second Round of the Calgary Stampede, Harris stopped the clock at 7.0 to win the round and cash before he went on to finish second in the fourth round of his pool. He was the third calf roper to come back to the Semifinals.
FASTEST RUNS
Calgary Stampede, 6.9 seconds
The second round of the Calgary Stampede was also Harris’ fastest time of the 2022 regular season at a smoking 6.9 seconds.
Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo, 7.3 seconds
In Kennewick, Washington, Harris would throw down a 7.3 to end up second in the Second Round. This time would be one of the fastest of his season behind his run at Calgary.
NOTABLE WINS
Dixie National Rodeo, 15.5 Seconds on Two
Harris would get faster in the Second Round in Jackson, Mississippi with a 7.4 but combined with his First Round time of 8.1 seconds, Harris ended up the No. 1 cowboy in the average. He walked away the Champion.
Sisters Rodeo, 18.6 Seconds on Two
Harris didn’t finish better than fourth in either round, but his consistency propelled him to a win in Oregon. He made over $5,000 at the event.
