The Texas Circuit Finals paid out more than $266,000 at its four-round rodeo over the weekend. The winners were determined by an Average, and a few events saw one athlete take home a bulk of the money.
Zach Hibler placed in the Top 4 of every all four round to win the bareback riding by three points over 2022 No. 1 Cole Reiner, Nelson Wyatt/Tyler Worley won Rounds 2 and 3 to claim the team roping Average by more than a second and Ilyssa Riley won the final three rounds in the barrel racing to be named The Cowboy Channel’s Female Athlete of the Week. Lastly, Jeff Askey blew away the bull riding field as the only cowboy to ride 3-of-4. He also won Rounds 2 and 4.
The other winners were Gavin Soileau in steer wrestling, Parker Fleet in saddle bronc riding, Micheal Otero in tie-down roping and Madison Outhier in breakaway roping.
The Texas Circuit Finals was the second consecutive Finals Rodeo held in Waco after the Permit Finals last weekend.
