Team ropers Tyler Wade and Trey Yates have qualified for their second trip to the Thomas and Mack together. Wade comes in sitting No. 8 while Yates is No. 10 in the PRCA World Standings. After finishing the 2021 season in just about the same spots, this is a familiar place for Wade and Yates as the countdown for Vegas is on.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

Rodeo Houston, $13,250

In Houston, Wade and Yates walked out of Super Series 1 the No. 2 team after roping two 5.4’s and raking in $10,000. They would go on to make another $2,000 before they would wrap up the rodeo and leave with almost $15,000 apiece.

FASTEST TIMES

San Angelo Rodeo, 3.6 seconds

In April, Wade and Yates bounced back in the second round of the San Angelo Rodeo to rope what would become their fastest time of the year with a 3.6-second run. It would be a second-place finish and a run worth over $4,500.

Chief Joseph Days, 3.6 seconds

After a tough first round, Wade and Yates came back to dominate in Round 2 of the Chief Joseph Days in Oregon. With a smoking fast time of 3.6 seconds, they won the second round by a full second, managed to place fourth in the average and tied their fast time of the season.

NOTABLE WINS

Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo

With a pair of 4.1 second runs in Odessa, Wade and Yates were as consistent as can be to win the rodeo with an average time of 8.2 seconds on two head.

Deadwood Days of ’76 Rodeo

In the historic arena of Deadwood, South Dakota, Wade and Yates were Co-Champions after a second -place finish in Round 1 and a sixth-place finish in Round 2 made them 9.1 seconds on two head.
