2025 has been a stellar year so far for breakaway roper Taylor Munsell. The Alva, Oklahoma cowgirl currently holds a commanding lead in the world standings with over $40,000 ahead of her nearest competitor and continues to cash checks at nearly every stop.
Most recently, Munsell split the win at the Woodward Elks Rodeo and added victories in Durant and Mt. Pleasant to her growing list of accomplishments. Earlier this season, she banked more than $70,000 at RodeoHouston alone, setting the tone for what’s shaping up to be a career defining year.
With the summer run in full swing, Munsell has her sights set on a packed schedule, including stops at Reno and a historic opportunity to compete in the main arena at Calgary as part of the inaugural group of breakaway ropers showcased there. Sitting firmly at No. 1 in the world, Munsell is charging toward what could be her fifth appearance at the National Finals Breakaway Roping and she’s showing no signs of slowing down.
