Taylor Hanchey Joins American Hat Company Team

NFR breakaway roper and barrel racer Taylor Hanchey is the newest member of the American Hat Company team, joining her husband Shane, a 12-time NFR tie-down roper.

“It’s a pretty big deal, I’ve been having to steal Shane’s hats for awhile,” she said with a laugh. “Now that I’m officially part of the team, I’m excited to be part of such an elite group.”

“It’s well earned, well deserved. She was the first woman to qualify in two events for the NFR, that’s a huge accomplishment,” Shane added. “I get to have my hats not stretched near as much as they used to.”

Shane and Taylor also discussed their roping styles, what it’s like watching each other compete and their future goals in rodeo.
