Tanner Tomlinson is a National Finals Rodeo first timer roping while his partner, Patrick Smith, is a two-time World Champion. The duo not only captured the Round Three win, they did so by setting a new Round 3 NFR Record with a time of 3.6 seconds.
“When you get in the back, back there and they start making runs like that, I knew what this guy was going to do. He was ready for Vegas long before he was ready for the regular rodeo season and just kind of got to be a part of that with him,” Smith said about Tomlinson.
Tomlinson and Smith sit No. 2 in the aggregate and both are ranked No. 4 in the World after this win.
