Garrett Shadbolt Gets His Turn on Frontier Rodeo’s Gun Fire and Wins the Dodge City Roundup

Frontier Rodeo’s Gun Fire is the horse that the Dodge City Champion has won the rodeo on two years in a row now. This year, the Champion is Nebraska’s Garrett Shadbolt after he went 91.5 points on the great mare.

“I thought about this horse about two weeks ago and I said ‘I think it’s about my turn to get Gun Fire’ and one of them deals, be careful what you wish for. But she’s what I needed to win the rodeo and that’s what I came here to do and I’m glad we got it done,” Shadbolt said.

He had to fight for every point but Shadbolt added over $6,000 to his season earnings with this win and he is the No. 9 bareback rider in the World.
