2021 Resistol Rookie of the Year Cole Franks went 83 points on a star is born to enter the top three in Salinas.
Franks talked about the horse after his ride.
“Felt like a lot going on there at the start, then kind of moved off a little bit. Felt good still.”
The second-year cowboy is taking full advantage of his opportunities this season no matter where he is riding.
“It’s always awesome traveling around getting to see new places like this is my first time here. It is pretty cool to be here. I just enjoy being on the road and loving what I do.”
Franks has ridden himself onto the bubble after a few big paydays in July and now sits 14th in the PRCA World Standings.
