Rocker Steiner and Damian Brennan Win Inaugural Battle of the Broncs

Fallon, Nevada was home to the first ever Battle Born Broncs, a stand alone bronc riding competition that highlighted both bareback and saddle bronc. The inaugural event paid out more than $52,000 and the champions of the even were two of the top rookies going down the road this year.

In the bareback riding, this was Rocker Steiner’s third strait win in a row. He went 88 points on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics’ Mustard.

“You know, the last few horses I’ve been on I’ve drawn real good and everything went well,” Steiner said.

Damian Brennan took home the championship title in the saddle bronc riding with an 88-point ride as well. He matched up with King Rodeo and Wentz Bucking Bulls Oh Toodles to be the No. 1 cowboy of the night.

“This is a dream come true and I’m just blessed to be here and have been a part of it,” Brennan said.

Brennan made the trip to Fallon in the middle of his College National Finals and he says rodeoing like this is absolutely why he came to America from Australia.

Both Steiner and Brennan cashed in $7,924 as each one sits in the No. 1 position in the Resistol Rookie standings. Steiner is No. 10 in the PRCA World Standings while Brennan is No. 23.
