Homegrown Gelding Otts Boy Wins $1 Million Ruidoso Futurity

The Ruidoso Futurity took place on June 12, 2022 and the first horse out of the gate was Otts Boy.

The two-year-old, bay gelding was trained by Toby Keeton and he held his No. 1 position from start to finish as he claimed the win at the $1 million race which is also the first race in the Quarter Horse Triple crown.

Otts Boy is owned by Luke Goebel and holds a special place in his heart. He is a family born, bred and raised gelding. Goebel’s late father owned the sire to Otts Boy, Mr. Ottyes, and this was the family’s first race stakes win. It was an emotional day for Goebel.

The next race for Otts Boy will be the Rainbow Futurity.
