Keenan Hayes was one of the last Bareback Riders out and made his eight seconds count. Hayes went 85.5 points to get the win on Flying 5 Rodeo’s Miss Major. After the ride, Hayes talked about the horse and how the conditions made things a little more difficult.
“I knew it was raining so I was just coming out to have fun and I knew she was really good and she would go out there and have some big moves.”
Hayes has been on fire of late, and the win in Sisters was just the latest of what has been an incredible season.
“It has been a really good weekend I went down to a few circuit rodeos down in Cortez, had a really good horse there and won it there, and then went up to Eagle, Idaho, and was splitting it when I left.”
Hayes has not filled his card yet, but had he been on his rookie card in 2022 he would be winning the Resistol Rookie of the Year race and be inside the top-10 of the PRCA World Standings.
