Jace Melvin Makes His Comeback As He Takes Home The Championship Title in Sisters, Oregon

Jace Melvin competed in the steer wrestling at the Sisters Rodeo for the first time in his career and won with the fastest time in the average.

Melvin finished out Round 1 with a time of 5.2 and kept that momentum going into Round 2 with a 5.3.

“I’m real excited, made two good runs, had good steers. This is my first time at sisters and its been a blast so far,” Melvin said.

After competing in the Houston Rodeo, Melvin suffered from a bacterial infection in his blood that took a heavy toll on his health causing him to take a two month break from rodeo.

After being cleared to compete again, Melvin is on the road and excited to be back.
