Lukasey Morris is sitting No. 1 in the Resistol Rookie Standings and No. 6 in the PRCA World Standings and at last night’s Xtreme Bulls, Morris took home another win and added over $4,500 to his season earnings. To top it off, Morris and Louisiana Lightning were the match up of the night in California.
Morris knew that the bull was supposed to go left and buck hard. Going into the night, his goal was to have fun and it is safe to say he did just that and is setting himself up for an outstanding summer run for his rookie year.
“My year’s been pretty good so far, I’ve been to about 50 rodeos. I’m trying to average about $1,000 each rodeo so if I hit that 125 rodeo mark, I’ll have about $125,000 won and then should be going to the finals,” Morris said.
Following in his father’s footsteps into bull riding, Morris grew up in around the industry and he has had help from people all over to get where he is today. Morris has big goals for his rookie year and he is chipping away at achieving every single one.
