RodeoHouston Champion John Douch still has a lead in the PRCA World Standings, but 2020 World Champion Shad Mayfield and San Angelo Co-Champions Tuf Cooper and Tyler Milligan are all making a push.
1. John Douch, $88,321
Douch won just over $57,000 for his win at RodeoHouston and the very next weekend, he finished second in the Finals of Rodeo Austin and made another $7,050. Douch also placed in four rounds in San Antonio and two rounds in Fort Worth.
2. Tuf Cooper, $65,600
Cooper won both San Angelo and San Antonio which earned him more than $38,000 combined. Cooper also placed in three rounds in Fort Worth and five rounds in Houston.
3. Shad Mayfield, $65,054
Mayfield closed the Texas Tour with a 6.9 second run in the Finals of the Cinch Chute Out in San Angelo which got him second place. Mayfield was also the champion of Rodeo Austin and finished third in Fort Worth. In Texas Tour rodeos, he had seven runs of 8 seconds or faster.
4. Tyler Milligan, $60,055
Milligan won over $17,000 for splitting the win with Tuf Cooper in San Angelo. He also finished second in Houston and took home more than $27,000.
5. Kincade Henry, $45,947
Henry placed in 13 Texas Tour rounds and made the Finals in Fort Worth, San Antonio and San Angelo. In 2022, he already has seven Go-Round wins.
6. Marty Yates, $45,741
Behind Cooper and Milligan, Yates won the third most of any tie-down roper in San Angelo, bringing in just over $12,000. He also won close to $15,000 combined between Fort Worth and San Antonio.
7. Haven Meged, $43,241
Meged placed in the Top 4 in all five rounds he competed in in San Antonio and brought in $14,000. More recently, he finished third in the San Angelo Cinch Chute Out.
8. Shane Hanchey, $43,008
Hanchey closed the Texas Tour by stopping the clock at 6.8 seconds to win the Cinch Chute Out. In March, Hanchey won $6,500 at RodeoHouston and $3,500 at Rodeo Austin.
9. Ty Harris, $40,749
Harris finished second at both the Dixie National and the Arcadia All-Florida Championship in addition to making the Finals in San Angelo.
10. Quade Hiatt, $34,146
Hiatt finished third in the Finals of Rodeo Austin and second in the Finals of Fort Worth. He earned more than $23,000 from those two rodeos.
11. Cory Solomon, $31,281
Solomon made the Finals of Fort Worth and San Antonio and also placed in three rounds at RodeoHouston.
12. Zack Jongbloed, $31,134
Jongbloed won more than $4,000 in San Angelo and $11,500 in Houston. He has four Go-Round wins already in 2022 which is one off of his career high.
13. Michael Otero, $30,284
In March, Otero won the Walker County Pro Rodeo (Texas) and finished second at the Southeastern Livestock Expo (Alabama) and Okeechobee Cowtown Rodeo (Florida).
14. Bryson Sechrist, $29,690
Sechrist made a majority of his money this year from winning Fort Worth. His 7.2 second run in the Finals banked him $20,000.
15. Cooper Martin, $29,316
Martin just cracked the Top 15 after winning Red Bluff, which concluded on April 17. His best performance of the Texas Tour was in San Antonio, where he won $17,000 for his second place finish,
16. Riley Pruitt, $29,292
Pruitt won $6,500 in Houston and $9,500 in San Antonio.
17. Ryan Jarrett, $25,181
Jarrett placed in four rounds at RodeoHouston and one in Fort Worth. His most profitable rodeo was Denver, where he won $7,372.
18. Caleb Smidt, $23,335
Smidt placed in at least one round in Fort Worth, San Antonio, Houston and Austin. In Austin, he won nearly $8,000, second among all tie-down ropers.
19. Lane Livingston, $23,140
Livingston made the Finals of Rodeo Austin and La Fiesta De Los Vaqueros (Arizona) and those two rodeos have made up about two-thirds of his money won for the 2022 season.
20. Taylor Santos, $22,746
Santos placed in a round at RodeoHouston and San Antonio.
