Sage Newman set the bar on night No. 1 in Logandale, Nevada when he rode for 89.5 points on Popeye. The competition was stacked on this first night and Newman proved why he is the No. 1 saddle bronc rider in the world.

"Nice little horse, really got in the air and let me do my stuff," Newman said. “We’re just having fun riding bucking horses."

Newman won close to $6,000 for his victory in the one-head rodeo. Kolby Wanchuk was second with 85.5 points and there was a three-way tie for third at 84.5.
