Shelley Morgan beat reigning World Champion Jordon Briggs by just three hundredths of a second to win The American for the first time in her career.
Morgan and her horse, Kiss, stopped the clock at 14.609 seconds in the Shootout Round.
“You’re going to make me start crying if you make me talk about my horse,” Morgan said afterward. “My horse is very special, my husband always says trying to find these horses is like trying to find a Super Bowl quarterback in the NFL, she’s super special.”
