The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Semifinals are almost set as Bracket 4 finished up competition Saturday afternoon.

In a loaded bareback riding field, Clayton Biglow, Jess Pope, Chad Rutherford and Kaycee Feild emerged as Semifinal qualifiers. They were all separated by $1,500 with Biglow leading the way at $5,500.

In steer wrestling, 2021 NFR Average champion Will Lummus won the most money in Bracket 4 with $4,500. He edged out 2019 World Champion Ty Erickson, who made $4,000 in three performances.

All four team roping pairs advancing were separated by just $250. The teams moving on are Dustin Egusquiza/Travis Graves, Riley Minor/Brady Minor, Nick Sartain/Reagan Ward, and Tanner Tomlinson/Patrick Smith.

In saddle bronc riding, Lucas Macza lead the way with $5,000 as he and Kole Ashbacher both placed in two of three rounds.

Like team roping, tie-down roping was very close in Bracket 4. Stetson Vest and Matt Shiozawa banked the most money with $3,500 apiece and four other cowboys made at least $2,500. The two others moving on to next week’s Semifinals are Luke Potter and Cory Solomon.

In barrel racing, reigning World Champion Jordon Briggs won two of three rounds and in bull riding, Gavin Michel won the bracket as he was the only cowboy to go for 3-for-3.

Last but certainly not least, Emma Charleston had two times of 2.2 seconds or faster and finished in the Top 2 of all three breakaway roping rounds to win the bracket.
