Reigning World Champion Stetson Wright Wins Saddle Bronc Wild Card in Fort Worth

Fans probably did not expect to see reigning PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Champion Stetson Wright have to go through the Wild Card in Fort Worth, but he advanced to the Semifinals in style on Wednesday night.

Wright was 88.5 points on Bridwell Pro Rodeo’s Beaver Bend.

“I’m just glad to hear a high score,” Wright said. “They’ve tested me this week every time I’ve got on, so it was good to get a good ride under my belt.”

Two from each event advanced out of Wild Card Wednesday, the other saddle bronc rider moving on is either Sterling Crawley or Lefty Holman. Both cowboys had 84.5 points.
