Rodeo Rapid City Xtreme Bulls: Highlights, Recaps and Payouts

The Rodeo Rapid City Xtreme Bulls took place on Friday night and more than $13,000 was paid out for the one-header. This was the first Rodeo Rapid City event hosted at the brand new Summit Arena.

Riker Carter rode Sutton Rodeo’s Rock N Roll Fantasy for 87 points to be named the champion and take home just over $4,000.

“It means the world (to win the event),” he said. “The packed stands, you can’t beat it, it’s a thrill, it had my blood pumping.”

Blaine Beaty was second with 86 points on George’s Hotline of Painted Pony Championship Rodeo. He won more than $3,000.

“I really don’t know much about him, came here with an open mind, just rode him jump for jump,” Beaty said of his bull.

A total of eight cowboys won a check and every one who did rode for 82 points or more.
