Stetson Wright is on a tear in the bull riding. Fresh off a win at the Fort Worth Xtreme Bulls, the 2020 World Champion was at it again in Denver, this time riding for 86.5 points to close out the semifinals at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo as the top bull rider.
Wright did it on Cervi Championship’s Spumoni, a bull that has now posted three straight stock scores in the 40s in Denver.
“Bubba (Greig) was the one who did good on him (earlier in the rodeo) and he told me you’ll like him, he feels good and he was right, he felt really good,” Wright said.
Wright has now ridden four consecutive bulls and between Fort Worth and Denver and each one has been marked at 84 points and won him at least $2,000.
The bull riding winners of Semifinal 1 and Semifinal 2 were Jeff Askey and Roscoe Jarboe. Both men were 84.5 points.
