Pozzi Tonozzi started her year off right at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. She won the first, second rounds and placed second in the semi-finals. She went on to also win the first round of San Angelo Rodeo with a 15.800 to add almost $6,000 to her earnings.

At the American Rodeo in March, Pozzi Tonozzi and Katniss smoked the competition in the Eight Man when the pair ran a 15.434. Unfortunately, they hit a barrel in the chute out round.

Another standout highlight of the year for Pozzi Tonozzi came from the Worlds Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, Arizona. A 17.550 was good enough for 10th in the first go but she came back and bested that to win the second go with a 17.130 second run. Combined, the two times were a 34.680 which won the average and added $4,752 to Pozzi Tonozzi’s earnings.

Pozzi Tonozzi was neck and neck with Hailey Kinsel (No. 1 $113,528) at last year’s NFR, both vying for a third Gold Buckle. Pozzi Tonozzi came up just short, ending up the 2020 Reserve World Champion. With the NFR being back in Las Vegas, Pozzo Tonozzi is returning to a place she’s won before and that third Gold Buckle is within reach.
