Paden Bray and Erich Rogers have been one of the most prolific pairs in the team roping over the last two years. They began roping getting together for the 2019 season, but really turned it on in 2020, when they won the NFR Average and both finished in the Top 3 in the world.
In 2021, it was more of the same, they won The American Rodeo, San Angelo Cinch Chute Out and several other rodeos. Rogers enters the NFR No. 2 on the head side and Bray is the No. 3 heeler and although the pair just started roping together Bray’s rookie year, they have known each other for much longer.
Erich Rogers has stayed with Bray and his family during the long summers rodeing for the last decade. Bray’s mom told him he could come hang out whenever and he has every year since, even doing things like picking Paden and his brother up from school.
“I’ve always looked up to that guy, that’s the guy I’ve always wanted to heel for,” Bray said. “We got the opportunity (to rope together) and that’s when my whole career changed. There’s no way I’d be where I was at without him at the head of the ship.”
Rogers has a Gold Buckle and 11 NFR qualifications in his career.
