Stetson Wright is just 22-years-old, but his resume is that of a Hall of Famer’s. Wright has three World Titles to his name (All-Around, 2019, 2020 Bull Riding, 2020). One thing he has yet to add to that resume is a Saddle Bronc World Title. That all could change this year, as Wright’s $193,095 has him in first place, ahead of Ryder Wright ($181,893).

Stetson got off to a hot start in 2021, winning $5,681 at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo in February. His biggest check of the rodeo came in the first round where he went 88 points for a $3,455 check.

Stetson followed up his impressive showing at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo with a second-place finish at RFD-TV’s The American. Wright went 86.75 points in the finals to win $25,000. That finish put him in second place, behind Ryder, who won The American.

The two would battle back and forth throughout the 2021 season. Stetson’s next big win came at the San Angelo Cinch Chute-Out where he went 88.5 points in the Finals on Big Tex to get the win and a $7,500 check.

In May Stetson won $23,000 at the Veater Financial Group Batte of the Best thanks to an 84 point ride in round one and a 91.5 point ride in the finals to get the win. Stetson remained a model of consistency throughout the season, averaging more than 85.40 points per ride, and collecting 22 go-round wins on the year.

That trend continued at the Cheyenne Frontier Days where Stetson placed second in the first two rounds and went 90 points in the finals to get the win and earn more than $21,000 at the rodeo.
