Spur Lacasse and Chad Rutherford were both marked 84 points to tie for the top bareback ride in the first performance at the Pendleton Round-Up.
Lacasse, who is competing in his first Round-Up, rode Four Star Rodeo’s Dirty Harry, a horse he knew little about for Wednesday’s perf.
“That was amazing,” he said. “Couldn’t have asked for a better first time in Pendleton.”
Rutherford, who entered No. 21 in the PRCA World Standings, was matched up with Calgary’s Actually Gorgeous on Wednesday afternoon.
