Matt Palmer needed to win big at the Xtreme Bulls Finale to move up in the world standings to possibly make his first ever Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and he did just that.
Palmer was the only cowboy to ride all four bulls, making him the Xtreme Bulls Finale Champion.
Palmer went for 81.5 points in the first section on Sankey Pro Rodeo’s Bad Company and followed it up with a 71-point ride on No Doubt of Brookman Rodeo. He came back on Day 2 and went 80 points in Section 3 on another one of Sankey Pro Rodeo’s super stars, Time For Magic.

It was an emotional win for the rookie.
“It’s a blessing for sure.. you know I’m right on that bubble. I’ve got a chance but it’s slim. I know I’ve got to do everything in my power to get it done,” Palmer said.
Palmer sits at the no. 19 spot in the world right now with two weeks left in the regular season.
