A Weekend of Big Scores in Canby and Caldwell

It was a weekend of big scores all around the west for some of the best cowboys in bareback and saddle bronc riding!

In Canby, Oregon it was world champion Clayton Biglow and Xplosive Skies that went for 92 points to get the win. This was also a rematch and Biglow is nothing if not consistent. He went for 92 points the previous weekend in Hermiston, Oregon on the same horse.

Leighton Berry is becoming the definition of comeback kid as he gets another check for an 87.5 point ride on Agent Lynx of Calgary Stampede. Berry is coming back off of an injury that happened in Odessa in the beginning of the year. Of the nine rodeos he’s gone to since the start of August, he’s pulled a check at seven.

In Caldwell, Idaho it was the saddle bronc horses that shined. It was a half point difference between Wyatt Casper and Dawson Hay in the short round that determined first and second. Lefty Holman came in third with an 88.5 on a Powder River Rodeo’s Miss Chestnut’s Legacy to get a piece of the money.

A three way tie for fourth in Caldwell between a few National Finals Cowboys made the short round one to watch. Ryder Wright, Stetson Wright and Sterling Crawley all scored 88 points to add to their earnings in the world standings.
