The powerhouse duo with five World Championship titles between them has been a forced to be reckoned with this season — they won Vernal and Belle Fourche, placed second at Pike’s Peak and Killdeer, placed third in Deadwood, and they took the coveted Cheyenne tite. And that’s just in the month of July.

For these team roping vets, consistency is key.

In Dodge City, Clay Smith and Jade Corkill were 5.1 seconds in round one, and last night, they turned in a 5.2-second run to take the lead in the average with 10.3 on two.
