Top Canadians in Performance No. 2 of The Daddy

Performance No. Two of Cheyenne Frontier Days is in the books.

Cowboys and cowgirls came in with high scores and fast times but it was the Canadians in the second performance that really put on a show and going to the top of the leaderboards.

Orin Larsen of Inglis, Manitoba made the highest marked bareback ride of the entire rodeo thus far. With an 86.5 point ride on Rylee’s Rasin Cane of Andrews Rodeo, the Canadian cowboy secured his spot in the semifinals this weekend.

Ben Anderson gave us a picture perfect ride in the saddle bronc riding. Dakota Rodeo’s Bridal Shower is a bronc every cowboy loves to see next to their name and Anderson went for a well deserved 88 point ride. He also got the highest marked ride of the rodeo so far and we’ll see him again in the semifinals.

In the steer wrestling, it was Curtis Cassidy of Donalda, Alberta who had the fastest time of the day with a 5.9 second run. Cassidy was a 5.8 in round one making him a 11.7 on two head putting him in the lead of the average.

It wasn’t actually Canadian Day in Cheyenne yesterday, but the cowboys of the Maple Leaf Country showed up and showed out yesterday at the Daddy of ‘em all.
