K’s Thomson Wins Redding

K’s Thomson went 87.5 points in Redding to get what he calls the biggest win of his young career. It was standing room only at the rodeo, and K’s says that made a big impact on him.

“It was awesome. It had kind of been since Rapid City since there was a full house and cheering fans. To get into an arena, the crowd is right behind you and loud and cheering. It started pouring rain after the bareback riding and they didn’t quit.”

Thomson hurt his hip last year in what he wanted to be his rookie season, but with the pandemic and injury, he decided to hold off on coming to the states and going after an NFR qualification.

He currently sits in 35th place after the Redding win, but if he keeps riding like he did last weekend, he will fly up the standings.
