Cody Teel reflects on his successful weekend in Billings

Four-time PBR World Finals qualifier Cody Tell showed up for a great performance at the PBR’s Unleash The Beast stop in Billings over the weekend.

“It went good, that’s the kind of the plan every weekend for me at every event, just kind of go in there and keep chipping away,” he said. “I was able to make a pretty big jump this weekend so things are going in the right direction lately.

Teel, who is now No. 7 in the world, won the 15/15 Bucking Battle with 91.25 on Ridin’ Solo. It was the best score of his season so far. That ride alone earned him 50 points in the PBR World Standings.

“I like him (Ridin’ Solo), he can kind of have a hard time leaving clean out of the chutes because he’s just trying so hard,” Teel said. “I was just in the right spot.......I knew it was a big opportunity, I just wanted to take advantage of it.”

Teel was also 3-for-4 in the PBR Wrangler Invitational in Billings. He finished third behind Jose Vitor Leme and Kaique Pacheco, who are currently No. 1 and 2 in the world.
