Dustin Egusquiza/Levi Lord win USTRC’s Gold Buckle Beer Open

For the second straight year, the U.S. Team Roping Championships is being held at the Will Rogers Complex in Fort Worth.

Monday was a big day to kick things off with Dustin Egusquiza/Levi Lord splitting more than $50,000 to win the Open Championship.

The pair told Steve Kenyon that going into their final run, all they had to do was be clean and solid to take the title. They finished with a total time of 34.24 on 5 head.

Splitting about $35,000, Clay Tryan/Jake long were second at 35.15 on 5, Andrew Ward/Kollin Von Ahn were third at 35.56 and Colby Lovell/Paul Eaves and Lane Ivy/Ryan Motes rounded out the Top 5 at 35.97 and 35.98 respectively.
