Red Bluff Round-Up Recap, Highlights, and Payouts

Red Bluff Recap

Rodeo made its return to the state of California last weekend at the Red Bluff Round-up and with over $300,000 on the line, the biggest names in rodeo made their way to Northern California to claim their share.

Spencer Wright was one of the first Saddle Bronc riders to perform and his ride would hold up throughout the rodeo. Wright went 88 points on Powder River Rodeo’s Miss Valley. With the win, Wright earned nearly $7,000 and jumped into sixth place in the world standings.

Tie-Down Roping saw Tuf Cooper take the top spot after going 35.8 seconds on four head. Cooper needed to tie one down in under ten seconds in the 12 man round to take the title and would do just that by stopping the clock at 9.2 seconds. The four-time World Champion now sits in the number two spot in the world, trailing just Shane Hanchey.

It was Shane Proctor who claimed the top spot in Bull Riding with an 88.5 point ride on Flying U Rodeo’s Bringin Trouble. The win will go a long way in getting Proctor back to the NFR. The five-time qualifier and one-time World Champion has not been to the NFR since 2016. With his win in Red Bluff, Proctor moved into the top-15 at the number 12 spot.
