Tuf Cooper grew up around roping and thought that was the norm. His father, Roy “Super Looper” Cooper taught him how to rope when he was two or three years old.
“I learned to rope at a young age and that’s where I wanted to be down there, doing what my family was enjoying. Before I knew it I was a cowboy.”
Cooper not only credits his family for his success but also where he grew up.
“I was born and raised in Childress, Texas, and moved to Decatur which is 30 miles from the Stockyards when I was 10 years old. It was one of the best moves that my dad could have made for my career to get me closer to the action.”
Cooper now has four World Titles and 12 NFR qualifications under his belt, but he isn’t done yet.
