WATCH: Luke Branquinho’s interview after winning Thursday’s Go-Round at the Southeastern Livestock Expo Rodeo

Luke Branquinho was making things happen Alabama Thursday night.

The California cowboy threw one down quickly, turning in a time of 3.6 seconds. Afterward, the five-time World Champion said he was taking a chance by pushing the barrier.

Branquinho, who is currently 15th in the world steer wrestling standings, is borrowing Stetson Jorgensen’s terrific horse Mabel.

“She (Mabel) is just honest. She’ll sit in the corner, let you score when you need to, let you go fast when you need to and you know, Stetson’s done a great job with her,” he said.

The Southeastern Livestock Exposition Rodeo will pay a total of $174,000 in 2021.
