Bareback rider Cole Reiner joined Western Sports Roundup on Tuesday to unpack his entire 2020 season after being named Resistol Rookie of the Year.
“It’s been more than I could imagine, started out this year with the main goal to win Resistol Rookie of the Year and things were going great at the beginning of the year,” he said. “I kept the ball rolling, kept winning and had to sit down and change some goals and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo became one of them.”
Reiner collected $45,042 en route to his first Wrangler NFR qualification. The next closest bareback rider was Jayco Roper with $13,374.
