Caleb Smidt’s horse, Pockets, named tie-down roping Horse of the Year

Caleb Smidt’s horse Pockets was named the tie-down roping Horse of the Year.

Over the course of the 2020 season, several calf ropers rode Pockets, including NFR qualifier Marty Yates.

Pockets has been the staple of Smidt’s stable over the course of his career and the horse has helped him win two World Championships in 2015 and 2018 and RFD-TV’s The American in 2019.
