Reigning FWSSR Champions Tilden Hooper and Tyler Milligan React to the Cancellation

Neither bareback rider Tilden Hooper nor tie-down roper Tyler Milligan will get a chance to defend their Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo titles in January, being that on Thursday, the FWSSR executive committee announced the cancellation of all events for 2021.

With big money up for grabs in Fort Worth every year (the 2020 rodeo paid out more than $1 million) the news comes as a big a blow to contestants, especially coming off the cancellation of the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo also held annually in January.

Hooper and Milligan talk about how they and fellow athletes have been taking the news, what they will miss about getting to compete in Fort Worth, and how they’re getting ready for the upcoming NFR.
