Wade Sundell’s Winning Ride at the Oregon Trail Rodeo

The 2018 world champion saddle bronc rider who seemed to be invincible — who predicted he could win RFD-TV’s The American, and then did, twice — Wade Sundell was sidelined last August after incurring serious internal injuries at the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo in San Juan Capistrano, California.

He had to undergo three surgeries, and from there, months of rest and rehabilitation.

But “Wild Man” Wade has officially returned to ProRodeo — holding nothing back. He made his first ride of 2020 in July at Iowa’s Championship Rodeo in Sidney, and he’s been going full throttle ever since.

This past weekend was no exception. In fact, on August 22, he not only secured the win at the Oregon Trail Rodeo, he set a new arena record.

Just two days prior to the one-year anniversary of his life-threatening accident, Wade went 90.5 points on Korkow Rodeos’ Onion Ring.
