Mallory McGee wins 40th Annual Josey World Champion Jr. Barrel Race

This week, Farmington, Arkansas, cowgirl Mallory McGee was crowned the winner of the 40th annual Josey World Champion Jr. Barrel Race, held on the ranch of Hall of Famer Martha Josey.

One of 332 contestants representing 19 states at the most prestigious open barrel race in the country, Mallory was riding her horse Let Her Stop, who has finally returned to competition after having colic surgery last year. The duo qualified for the finals with a time of 16.782 in the second go. They then smoked the competition with a fast 16.122 in the final round and took the title.
