Getting to Know Steer Wrestler Tanner Brunner

Recently notching three consecutive wins in Woodward, Coleman, and Mesquite, Tanner Brunner has proven he’s one to watch this year in the steer wrestling.

While visiting his family ranch in Ramona, Kansas, we talk to Tanner, his dad, Tracy Brunner, and mentor Chancey Larson about his evolution as an athlete, how he balances two full time careers a rodeo athlete and cattleman, his horse Miss Kitty, and what it’s like rodeoing in 2020 in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.

“I guess I’d say I’m most proud of Tanner’s work ethic as a parent, and a very biased parent, I’ll acknowledge that,” says Tracy Brunner with a smile.
