Team Roper Steven Duby joined Amy Wilson on ProRodeo Tonight via Skype to talk about the crossfire rule, one of the toughest calls for an official to make in team roping. He explains how a crossfire call kept him and brother Jason Duby from advancing to the Finals in San Antonio this year, why the rule is so controversial, and the new rule proposal to change the penalty for crossfire.

During the Semi-Finals at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, team ropers Steven and Jason Duby stopped the clock at 3.5 seconds in the second round — a time that should have won them the round and a spot in the Finals. Unfortunately they were flagged out for crossfire, and instead received a no time.
