R.A. Brown Ranch has been raising cattle and horses for six generations dating back to 1895.

The ranch was founded by R.H. Brown, the owner of the Fort Worth Stockyards commission company. R.H. bought the land and sent his son R.A. to manage the holdings. Upon R.A.'s death the ranch was passed to his son R.A. “Rob” Brown Jr. and his wife Peggy.

The ranch is currently operated by Rob and Peggy’s four children, the sixth generation to work on the ranch.

The ranch has been awarded the Cattle Business of the Century and the AQHA’s Best Remuda.

R.A. Brown Ranch is also a leader in registered cattle. The animals have been featured in Beef Magazine’s Top 100 Seedstock Producers and the NCBA’s Top 25 Seedstock Producers.

The ranch, however, says the greatest award is “keeping the ranch in the family and the family in the ranch.”
