Stetson Wright put his first bull riding win of 2023 on the board in Clovis, California.
Aboard Macza Pro Rodeo’s Big River, the seven-time World Champion rode for 90 points to get the Clovis Rodeo win.
“It was awesome, I talked to Ward [Mazca] right before I got on him and he was pretty excited about the matchup so of course, him getting excited got me excited. He was just telling me how great the bull was and, I mean, he felt awesome,” Wright said.
Wright’s winning ride came in the final performance to snag the victory over Josh Frost and Jestyn Woodward, a pair of Top 15 cowboys who were tied at 88.5 points since the first performance.
With another almost $10,000 added to his season earnings in the bull riding, Wright sits No. 3 in the PRCA World Standings.
